What I did last night...

I did this quilt top for the quilt top that I'm doing for Craft Hope's current project.

My friend Emilie gave me this fun boy material from Cosmo Cricket. I'm loving it... the robots, sprockets, and the jetson's looking space car.

The yellow is a sheet that I picked up at a thrift store and then I just sewed right on top the different square pieces of material.

Now I have to finish it up quickly and mail it to them by the 15th!

Circle Quilt, part 1

I am making this quilt for my in-laws for Christmas. I am hoping to get it done in time to give it to them on Thanksgiving since we will be there then, but not Christmas. What do you think?

Swirling Waters Quilt Top Finished!!!

Hooray! Now all I have to do is buy the batting for it and then I can finish it up. I already have a blue sheet for the backing. Oh, and I need to make some binding for it, but not too big of a deal. I am just thrilled to have so much of the quilt done now.

And then it will go on Todd's black twin size bed. It will look so good. I can't wait to see it on there with his black bedroom set and all of the stuff in his bedroom (globe, jolly roger on the wall, etc.).

halfway there

I just need to make 7 more snail trail blocks and 1 white block and then I can piece them together! Hooray for being so close to being done.

Todd's quilt

I took this picture last night as I was trying to lay the quilt out to see how many certain blocks I am going to need to make.

I told Todd that the next quilt that I made would be for him and so finally I am doing it. He will be 4 in September and I have had his quilt planned out since he was around 1. I need to hurry up and get it done, too. I have other quilts to do that I want to get done for Christmas, one for my in-laws for Christmas and another for a friend's baby girl due on Christmas or Christmas day.
So, off I go to quilt, quilt, quilt!

Sock Monkey Baby Quilt

I had originally done a rag quilt for my little nephew soon to arrive. BUT, made a few mistakes and in the wash it came apart. Aaaaargh! But never fail, I received some material in the mail that day to prevent me from being too upset. Some of that material was this fun sock monkey fabric.  So, I started a different baby quilt.

And this is the one that I made...
I stipple quilted it and used a spring green for the backing and a pretty yellow for the binding. It turned out quite well, I think. It is the 2nd one that I've stipple quilted. And is safe in the wash. lol The photo is post-wash.

Summer Quilt

I've had this quilt mostly done and sitting aside for sooo long. I finally decided to give stipling (machine quilting) a try. It turned out great. I love how the fabric feels after being quilted like that.

The backing has ladybugs all over it - perfect for the summer!
